Santa Visits Fairfield Elementary School

Originally written in December 2016

On the last day of school before Winter Break, three wise men surprised CD-4 & Kindergarten students at Fairfield Elementary School with an extra dose of Christmas cheer. Believers and Achievers of Fairfield County president, Darreyl Davis; dedicated BA member and boxing champ, Raymond “Stingray” Fowler; and Santa Claus, himself greeted an overwhelmed and overjoyed group of students. The girls and boys were eager to impress Santa with how good they’ve been this year and request their most wished for Christmas presents.

This is the 2nd year that the organization has gotten the jolly ol’ fellow to visit the school. According to Davis, members just wanted to do something special for the students and bring a smile to their little faces for Christmas. Next on the agenda for Believers and Achievers is sponsoring Fairfield County’s first ever Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade on January 14th at 12 pm in downtown Winnsboro.
